Goodbye Christmas Decorations: Update Your Garden
7 January, 2022 by Ana
If you decorated your garden for Christmas and it’s still festive, even if it’s almost mid-January, you are probably into the jolly season a lot. We get it. We love winter celebrations just as much, but we still believe it’s time to say goodbye to those colorful Christmas decorations.
However, we don’t think you should leave your garden completely “naked.” So, instead of boxing everything, how about an update? Continue reading and find out what we have in mind. You’ll love it!
Time to Box the Christmas Decorations
December brings the best in most people, and we must admit that all those cheerful ornaments give us a happy boost. So, we understand how boxing everything, can make you feel sad. But, we also have a solution. Just like you made a fuss about decorating, you can also make this a family fun day.
Gather everybody on the patio, fire up the smoker, and cook something delicious you can all savor after the Christmas decorations are boxed. If you don’t have a smoker, grilling something is fine, but you can also update your grill easily, without spending a fortune. Check out the Carpathen Superior & Complete Smoker tube Kit, a high-end smoke generator that makes the smoking process easy and accessible to anyone.
Keep the Warm Lights
While we can all agree that there’s no point in keeping any Christmassy enhancements around the house or garden, keep the warm lights. If you still want to enjoy your garden for the rest of the winter, also keep the outdoor heater. You don’t need a special occasion to spend refreshing family moments on your patio, enjoying the heat “waves” and your beautifully lit backyard.
You can also add a few candles on the patio and use them to create a romantic atmosphere when it’s not too windy. But, if you have one, probably the fire pit will be the star of the garden for the next few months. Not only does it warm you up, but it can be of great entertainment for kids who love roasting their marshmallows. And to make such an exciting culinary experience safe, we suggest getting a set of kid-friendly roasting sticks. They will also be very handy during your camping trips!
Don’t Get Rid of “the Cozy”
And, since we are speaking about warmth, make sure you keep your patio comfy. While an outdoor heater is very welcoming and useful, and the lit garden has a dreamy vibe, you’ll still need your seating area to be comfortable. You might want to get rid of the Christmas blankets and pillows, but bring others instead.
However, make sure you cover everything when you’re not using the space, especially if you live in a place where it rains or snows a lot. You don’t want the weather to ruin your furniture and outdoor decorations!
Start Prepping for Spring
Whether we are talking about your outdoor kitchen, barbecue area, or gardening utensils, these winter months are the best time to check everything. If you used your grill and smoker during the whole cold season, they might not need more than a good cleanse.
When it comes to your gardening tools, a bit more work might be necessary, unless you want spring to catch you unprepared, with rusted tools and nonfunctional gadgets. And if besides being the master of the grill you’re also a gardening enthusiast, we suggest you have a look at our article about the things you should do for a better garden this year.
